Ravelin Gate Restaurant & Bar

Right at the top of the pedestrian street that leads from the Land (Ravelin) Gate to Namık Kemal square and St. Nicholas' Cathedral, you will find the elegant Ravelin Gate Restaurant and Bar. The menu is extensive: cold and hot starters, burgers, pasta, steaks and salads but what is important to note here is that everything is made from scratch - no processed food or ready-made sauces here! That mushroom sauce with your ribeye steak? Made from chopped mushrooms in the kitchens.

The bar is well-stocked and the wine-list impressive. You can taste international and Turkish wines at very reasonable prices, by the glass or the bottle. Try their delicious cheese platter to taste some local and not so local cheeses. All the dishes are beautifully presented and the service is faultless. A nice touch is that on the menu a wine recommendation is given for different dishes. Outdoor and indoor seating and a friendly welcome. Well worth stopping for a drink or a bite to eat.
