If you wander down to the port, you can watch the fishing boats come in with their catch. You can also enjoy a very good meal of fresh fish and seafood right on the port. The official name of this restaurant is the Mariners' Union but everyone knows it as Taşkın'ın Yeri, Taşkın's Place.

Taşkın Ataoğlu, who runs this restaurant, has been working in tourism for 28 years after studying hotel management in England, and still enjoys taking over in the kitchens. He has his own fishing boats and goes out every day so you can't really get fish any fresher than here!

Enjoy a full meze spread or taste some of the local varieties of fish, as well as the classics like sea-bream, whopper, red mullet, sea-bass... The clientele is usually local, port workers and fishermen but is also well-known locally as an excellent fish restaurant.
