From the roundaout with the large white mosque take the road with the restaurant on the corner (Temel Reis) and follow signs to Port View Hotel - Sweet Vanilla Cake Store is just opposite. You will see the cheery pink sign, the coloured flower pots and the white parasols and chairs outside.

Meliha is the dynamic young woman who runs this stylish and spotlessly clean café and cake store. She greets you with a sparkling smile and makes you feel at home straight away. Here you can taste all sorts of delicious cakes - chocolate velvet cakes, a variety of creamy cupcakes with tasty frosting, or melt-in-your-mouth home-made biscuits.

Meliha has studied at a prestigious culinary institute in İstanbul to earn her diploma which hangs on the wall. Her birthday and special occasion cakes, made to order, are edible works of art and a one-of-a-kind confectionery art masterpiece. Sugar flowers adorn royal icing, names and monograms are etched onto fondant, multi-tier cakes throne majestically for weddings, custom theme cakes for graduation, anniversaries, birthdays or just to say thank you. You define it, Meliha designs it. And the Christmas biscuits to decorate your tree are just adorable! Definitely worth the detour.
